EBPA was started in 1987. In 2009 its membership consists of more than 650 individuals from over 130 companies in the Greater Kansas City area. Included are representatives from all facets of the industry -- insurance companies, managed care plans, consulting firms, brokerage firms, agencies and third party administrators.

EBPA provides opportunities to its members for continuing education and networking. This is done through --

• at least four luncheon meetings each year
• an annual seminar in June
• a golf tournament each summer
• various social activities

Members also receive the quarterly newsletter and an online membership directory.
